Do I have whooping cough?

About 16 days ago i got a terrible cold and 14 days later i felt better. But now after 2 days of relieved symptoms I've developed a really bad cough, literally every 1-5 minutes I start coughing for about 10-30 seconds straight, sometimes longer. However i dont hear a whooping sound, but i do however take a very deep gasp of breath after a long cough. There is however 2 people in my school that currently have whooping cough which further makes me believe i have it. Right now my nose is only slightly congested, not runny. I took the day off today, but I'm not sure if i should go tomorrow, apparently you should take antibiotics for 5 days before you can return to school/work? If it helps I'm 14 years old and ive never had a vaccine for whooping cough. Thanks in advance!
