Computer and cpu question?

I can remark on the cores. A multi-core processor is one chip with several "cores" in it. If an application is multi-core aware, the app can balance processing work between the cores (get more work done at one time). I would guess that many modern, popular games are multi-core aware, however, CPU speed is still important. If the game says minimum of 3 GHZ AND it is multi-core aware, then your CPU is technically too slow. The game may still install and run, but you'll probably have to turn down the video settings (shaders, effects, etc) to compensate.
