I had bronchitis a few months ago & after that I've been getting sick a lot, Is it related?

The bronchitis was almost a pneumonia they doc gave me a nebulizer & some meds felt better after finishing the meds but it seems I've been getting sick more often after that. Its starts with a cough then comes the phlegm and the wheezing and shortness of breath, could it be related? I'm trying to find some info before I decide to go to the doc again cause the last time I had to go to the emergency room with an allergic reactions to some of the meds. What do you think I have & is there something I can do @ home?
