Is Mitt Romney stronger than people realize, because he can appeal to moderates?

Romney isn't strong at all. A liberal Republican will tank every time and history has clearly shown that. A GOP candidate can't take the White House without the religious right vote and Romney being a liberal and a Mormon will not receive that vote.
