Isn't this why people don't really trust either major U.S. political party?? They're all corporate s?

This is the moment when you become an adult. It's the realization you're getting screwed. You think you can enlighten people if you take a stand or just explain it. You vote, write letters and start seeing yourself as part of society with all of the rights that come with it. Then the day comes when you start to see you are the last to know. Everyone else knows that the deck is stacked and "1 person, 1 vote" is kind of hollow when you have an electoral college. Next are more letters to your representatives but these are hostile. You tell them they are dirty s and you know what they're up to. That's where I am now. One of my reps is Mary Landrieu, a democrat whose father was mayor of New Orleans. My head is spinning and it's over health care. I'm obviously not happy with her, but whichever side you're on, it's unethical to accept over a million in contributions from insurance and pharmaceuticals and act like you're unbiased. The industry doesn't throw money at a candidate because they think she's cute. Quid pro quot. They give you money to make more money off of your legislation. There's not a damn thing you can do but trade them in for another crook. It's futile.
